On Sunday 17th November, three running competitions will start from the Bentegodi Stadium in Verona: the 23rd Verona Run Marathon 42K, an international race with a certified 42.195km course included in the calendars of World Athletics, the world federation, and Aims, the World Road Racing Association; the 10th Verona Run Marathon 21K (21,097km), which can be run both as competitive and non-competitive, and the Family Run . The Istanbul Marathon, where tens of thousands of Istanbul come together every year and turn it into a feast. World Athletics certified Elite Label Road Race, the Istanbul Marathon starts on the Asian side of the city, crosses the Bridge over the Bosphurus Strait separating the two continents, and finishes on the European side in the ancient Roman Hippodrome, one of the oldest race courses in the world. The Reykjavik Spring and The Reykjavik Autumn Marathons are two races with a history that goes back 23 years. The Reykjavik Autumn marathon is the last big race in Reykjavik in the autumn. It is always held on the first day of winter the Saturday at the end of the 26th week of summer. In the old nordic calendar, this was the beginning of the first winter month called the Gor-month. So the winter is coming but this is sometimes the nicest time of the year. The arctic darkness is taking over, the northern lights are showing up now and then and the main tourist season is over so there is more space for everyone. Parma Marathon was born in 2015 with the precise desire to replicate a NY-style running event in a city like Parma. An ambitious project since the 2 realities have absolutely different characteristics and numbers. Here, good food perhaps hangs more on our side. But they are tastes .. Seriously, the work has been a lot and right from the start the quality has differentiated our event from many others that are expressed in the same sector. The Oyster Catcher stage trail run follows the famous Oyster Catcher hiking route, from the Gouritz River Mouth to Mossel Bay via the St Blaize hiking route along the Southern Cape coastline in the Garden Route of South Africa. The Oystercatcher trail is a world acclaimed experience, a lighthouse to lighthouse trail rated by National Geographic Traveller as “One of the Top 50 tours of a lifetime” with the BBC classing it as one of “30 Unforgettable hikes to do…” and the local Getaway Magazine rating it as one of the top 5 South African hiking routes. The Oyster Catcher trail run is primarily designed for trail runners looking to complete their first multi-day stage race. Dorney Lake, situated near the village of Dorney in Buckinghamshire, is a purpose built rowing lake with grounds that are a perfect backdrop to running as well as rowing. The flat course is ideal for a personal best over the marathon or half distance. A whopping 94% of 2021 participants surveyed got a PB at our Dorney Lake Marathon. GoFundMe Richmond RUN-FEST in south west London, consists of 4 different distanced events, 10,000 runners, a music stage and a fitness expo. The Rimi Vilnius Marathon is an annual city marathon, held in Vilnius, Lithuania. First introduced in 2001 as 10k race it evolved to a classic marathon in 2004. The course of Helsingborg Marathon was born with an idea of showing as much as possible of the beautiful city of Helsingborg. The towns city area but is filled with blinding views and fantastic spots. The course is unique in every way with varying environment and highlights on a 42.195 meter long course. The course includes 2 unique kilometers for the half marathon before connecting to the marathon course at Karnan. The course has about 180 meters in altitude difference with a hill up to Karnan after 3 kilometers and a long descent towards the ocean after 18 kilometers. Knarvikmila is Norway’s most magnificent running event. This year, KnarvikMila takes place at the beginning September. KnarvikMila is more than one race and more than a single distance. It is also more than a sports event. This is a week filled with cultural and sports events. See our programme for more information and take a look at our different distances. KnarvikMila was founded in 1982 by initiator and enthusiast Helge Brekke and is arranged by the athletic association FIL-AKS77. Since 1982, thousands of feet have run along roads and tracks in Knarvik for a week every autumn. In 2022, 500 volunteers worked to create a memorable event for 6000 participants. Without a group of volunteers extending far beyond the members of the athletic association it would be impossible to pull off the event that KnarvikMila has become: a whole week of activities including a conference, concerts and trade fair. In the year 2012, Patagonian International Marathon® became the first marathon to take place in Torres del Paine National Park. The Sunshine Coast Marathon & Community Run Festival is a member of the Association of International Marathons & Road Races (AIMS) and is one of the most-loved running festivals in Australia. Since its inception, the Sunshine Coast Marathon has raised over $1.6 million for charity and community groups. Located on the stunning Sunshine Coast, Queensland an hour’s drive north of Brisbane this event has been timed to make the most of the ideal Queensland winter running conditions. Blue skies, low humidity and mild temperatures combined with a flat course always enable fast times. Event distances include the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and the 2km. The SOX Trail Run is known as the most diverse 3-day trail run in South Africa and takes place in the Garden Route, with 90% of the route laid out within the South Africa National Park’s protected property. You will run on pristine hiking trails in the mountain on day one, experience the tranquility of our lush, indigenous forest on day two and end off, with day three, along the stunning coastline of the Garden Route.
