Running the “Run Rome the Marathon” is like running in an open-air museum!

Rome is an eternal and unique city, full of charm and surprises. And the 42,195km Rome Marathon will take you to the most incredible sights, following the steps of Roman gladiators as well as those of hundreds of thousands of marathoners in the past 25 years. And even though the Rome Marathon we know today started in 1995, it has very ancient roots. Indeed, Dorando Pietri crossed its finish line on April 2, 1906.

Picture yourself, running the famous Maratona Di Roma on antique cobblestones, passing by the Colosseum, along the Fori Imperiali, up to the Vatican and through St. Peters Square as Pope Francis might be taking the Sunday Morning Mass.

The Rome Marathon is a once in a lifetime experience, different from anything you’ve ever done or seen before. Not only do you get to see incredible monuments, but you will also be cheered by a loving and highly enthusiastic crowd, while gladiators will be waiting for you at the finish line.
Getting your tickets for Rome Marathon will ensure you don’t miss out on this life-changing experience and become a part of history.

Every step will make you’ll feel like a glorious marathoner, and we are pretty sure you will fall in love with the Italian capital city straight away!
