Welcome to Kaunas International Marathon – the biggest running event in Kaunas. We are proud of our long history, record beating runners as well as creating a supporting and friendly community for all running enthusiasts. Whether you’re beating the marathon record or your personal best at 5 km – we’re here to help, support and make sure you do your best while having a great time! Kaunas Marathon offers a unique course that starts and ends at the very heart of Kaunas city – City Hall. The track is certified by AIMS and WA and is one of the flattest courses in Europe. Also you’ll be able to run through Kaunas historic old town dating back to the 14th century, our beautiful riverside as well as some modern and impressive wall art. All along the course you will find refreshments as well as our volunteers always ready to help and provide support or a much needed cheer. Great Wall of China Marathon (GWCM) is the only marathon in China that has not been cancelled and has been held every year successively for the past 22 years at the 5 different sections of the Great Wall. 2024 will be the year of the 23rd edition of the Great Wall of China Marathon (GWCM) Register now and come to Beijing China to take part in this iconic event. The Leiden Marathon is known for its good organization, personal attention for every runner, enthusiastic spectators and fine atmosphere. With the most beautiful course in The Netherlands with start and finish in the heart of an 900-year old city (where Rembrandt was born and the Pilgrims Fathers lived for 12 years). The marathon of Leiden (also called Leiden Marathon) is a running race over 42,195 km, held annually in Leiden since 1991. For the full marathon with a time limit of six hours applies. The 42,195 km is one round that combines ancient Leiden with nine beautiful villages in the Green Heart where the marathoners run through a typical landscape of polders, windmills and cows. The Leiden Marathon had in 2019 more than 14.000 runners (1.000 on the full marathon) and on Saturday two thousand walkers who walked on the same route. And is still growing. The Brisbane City Botanic Gardens will be the main hub for the marathon, with the expo village, start and finish lines, and registration all taking place there. Brisbane Marathon runners will have a two-lap course to enjoy the sights of Brisbane, from the City Centre to the Story Bridge and the Kangaroo Point Cliffs and New Farm. The Aabenraa Mountain Marathon starts in the city’s beautiful center, more specifically at the big square Storetorv, from which the new exciting routes go. The routes are a combination of the hills in the beautiful countryside around Aabenraa as well as through the city center, with the pedestrian zone and the old town. Storetorv is the center of the running party and this year is no exception. In the center there will be big screens, party atmosphere and a long red-carpet run into the finish area, so you can be helped all the way to the finish! In goal, you run directly into the arms of one of our sweet volunteers who is ready with this year’s great medal! The Great Serengeti Migration Marathon & Anti-Poaching Run to begin was an idea formed by the event organizer SETSA –Serengeti in 2020. It is a racing event held over two consecutive days organized by Serengeti Tourism Sports Agency (SETSA) which uses sports to promote tourism and attract a numbers of tourists to the western side of the Serengeti National Park. This event’s name comes from one of the biggest events that happens yearly inside the Serengeti National Park, where some of the wildebeests and other Antelopes migrate between Serengeti National park -Tanzania and Maasai Mara National Reserve -Kenya. It is during this time when a large number of tourists visit the Serengeti to witness one of the world’s natural wonders. This event will allow participants to not just witness the migration but to be part of it by running between the groups of migrating wild animals along the Serengeti National Park, Ikona WMA, Ikorongo & Grumeti game reserves. The numbers of our runners would then go on safari to Serengeti national park after their run.
