The marathon will start at 8:00 AM. The elevation at the start line is 6700 feet. We recommend you wear warm clothing over your running clothing and bring any other personal items you might need. These will be transported for you back to the finish line. Do not bring any valuables to the start line. From the start line runners will descend into a few shallow rollers before the course mostly flattens out while proceeding toward Punakha. Brescia marathon route passes through the heart of the city. The Starting point will be in the historical center, a few hundred meters from the Arrival point at the beautiful Piazza Loggia. According to the current Italian Federation of Athletics instruction, at the Starting phase participants will be divided in one or more waves. The route climbs north ward, close to the university and the municipal stadium area, it continues towards the west part and goes back into the beautiful historical center, crossing the museum area, the Roman Forum, Broletto Palace, Cathedral Square and finally ends in Piazza Loggia. Many stretches are on the new cycling paths that are making Brescia become a more Green city. The route is safe guarded and protected by hundreds of volunteers and also by a huge deployment of law enforcement that control the most crucial parts. The 5th edition of the KPMG Lentemarathon will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2024. All distances start and finish in the city center. You run through the green surroundings of Amstelveen: The AMsterdamse Bos, Oude Dorp, the polders, along the Amstel River, and through the various districts. The marathon have suitable distances for everyone: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and the Marathon.   Course highlights The course takes you from the Stadshart, through the Amsterdamse Bos and back to the finish at the cozy runner’s village. Arctic Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k by Santa Claus, takes you to the most authentic of Finnish Lapland. The race starts from Father Christmas’ village square in Rovaniemi, where the exact Arctic Circle line is located. The race takes place between semi-urban areas combined with coniferous forest and the crossing of some frozen river.
