The Bhutan International Marathon takes place in the beautiful kingdom of Bhutan, nestled in the heart of the Himalayas. The marathon will start at 8:00 AM. The elevation at the start line is 6700 feet. We recommend you wear warm clothing over your running clothing and bring any other personal items you might need. These will be transported for you back to the finish line. Do not bring any valuables to the start line. From the start line runners will descend into a few shallow rollers before the course mostly flattens out while proceeding toward Punakha. The route follows the Mo Chhu (river) through rural Punakha Valley. Daegu is one of Korea’s top three cities and an international sports city. In particular, it was selected as the world’s second international track and field city after Stuttgart, Germany, when it held the World Athletics Championships Daegu 2011, It is an international sports city, such as the successful hosting of the  World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor Daegu 2017 and the hosting of the World Masters Athletics Championships Daegu 2026 The Daegu Marathon has been holding label competitions certified by the World Athletics Federation since 2013. It is Korea’s representative sports festival, with 16,000 elite athletes and masters hobbyists participating every year. In addition, the world’s best prize money will be paid at the competition held on April 7, 2024. The prize money for the first place is $160,000. Starting in 2024, you can run Daegu landmarks by changing it to a circular course that runs throughout Daegu. The Borneo Marathon is a marathon held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, East Malaysia. The inaugural race was held on October 12, 2008. This is the first marathon in the state for over 20 years. The first marathon in Sabah was held in 1984 and it was called the Daily Express Sabah Marathon. The next marathon was called the Borneo International Marathon (BIM). BIM was organized by Championship Sport Events Sdn. Bhd., helmed by Mr. Andrew Voon as the Race Director as well as the person instrumental in organizing the Borneo International Marathon. The Istanbul Marathon, the only intercontinental marathon in the world and a World Athletics Elite Label Road Race. The Istanbul Marathon, where tens of thousands of Istanbul come together every year and turn it into a feast. World Athletics certified Elite Label Road Race, the Istanbul Marathon starts on the Asian side of the city, crosses the Bridge over the Bosphurus Strait separating the two continents, and finishes on the European side in the ancient Roman Hippodrome, one of the oldest race courses in the world.   Course highlights 42K RACE COURSE The race starts approximately 250 meters before the toll booths in front of the 15 July Martyrs Bridge bus stop. After crossing the bridge, the track goes down to the coastal road by following the Beşiktaş turnoff and Barbaros Boulevard.
