The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon, taking place 29 September 2024, is one of the most beautiful marathons in the world, following a spectacular route alongside Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland.

The iconic marathon follows a spectacular point to point route alongside world famous Loch Ness and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful marathons in the world. The route begins in an atmospheric moorland setting and continues through stunning scenery along the shores of Loch Ness, across the River Ness to finish in the Highland capital of Inverness.

Why not make a weekend of it and come with family or friends? There’s plenty to entertain runners and spectators over the weekend with an expo, runners’ cafe, street food, live music, pipes & drums and family friendly activities..

And if marathons aren’t your thing, there’s also the Baxters River Ness 10K, 5K and Wee Nessie kids’ race. Entry for all races available now.
