The Côte Chalonnaise Wine Marathon races in the vineyards of Burgundy

• Several races for all competitors between heritage, vineyards, forests and sunny hillsides (Marathon, half marathon, 12 kilometers, 8 kilometers)

• Seventeen villages crossed

• Sporting refreshments every 5 km

• Festive refreshments (twenty) punctuate the whole course, with discoveries of regional products and wines from the Côte Chalonnaise

• Disguises are welcome

• Musical entertainment on the course (a dozen in all)

• Marathon, semi, 10km, benjamins and minimes and MARA3 (race with 3 runners, the first runner on the 42kms, the 2nd for the 21kms
and 3rd on 10 km: the 3 runners finish all together)

• P’tits Ceps race: children’s races borned from 2012 to 2018

• Wine market with the Givry wines all weekend

 

 

Course highlights

Marathon: In the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise vineyards, it crosses the communes of Givry, Jambles, Barizey, Saint Jean de Vaux, Saint Martin sous Montaigu, Mercurey, Fontaines, Rully, Mellecey, Germolles, Dracy le Fort returns to Givry. Half Marathon: The event runs through the communes of Givry, Dracy-le-Fort, Mellecey, Mercurey, Saint-Martin-sous-Montaigu, Saint-Jean-de-Vaux, Barizey, Jambles and return to Givry. 12 km /8 km The event crosses the commune of Givry, the hamlet of Cortiambles and that of Poncey, then returns to Givry.
