THE EVENT:

Africa is claimed by some to be a Runner’s Paradise and Marathons in Africa are famous for providing a unique marathon experience. The Congo River Marathon is a marathon like no other and certainly race participants will definitely look forward to coming back.

The event includes races from Full Marathon of 42,195 km, to Half Marathon of 21,098 km, to the Fun Run of 10 km.

Running through the humid tropical climate of the heart of Kinshasa (Kin La Belle) and it’s vibrant suburbs, the marathon route will take participants across some of the most beautiful scenery along the south bank of the second largest river in Africa.

From a Full and Half Marathon to a 10K Fun Run option, there is something for all running abilities and regardless of distance, each will give the runner a unique perspective of this vibrant city.

This is our biggest running event of the year in Kinshasa, including a Health & Fitness Expo on May 31-June 1, 2024 and a Post Race Gathering.

TOURISM PACKAGES:

We also offer Tourism Packages through our Partner Motherland Escapes, that you can schedule before or after the marathon, to experience the beauty of Kinshasa and the DR Congo:
