The event is an opportunity to do something active and fun while remembering those affected by breast cancer. Make Mother’s Day meaningful and memorable – join us for a morning of fun and festivities while raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. See you on Sunday 10 May 2020! In 2020 the event will be held in all capital cities and in several major metropolitan and regional locations across Australia. Holding a Mother’s Day Classic event is a wonderful way to show support and solidarity to those in the community dealing with breast cancer. The diagnosis is tough for anyone but there can be extra challenges for rural and regional patients including the financial burden and strain of having to travel thousands of kilometres for chemotherapy and specialist treatment.

In 2019, there were 78 regional events held around Australia by some amazing volunteers who hosted their first or tenth MDC!

Community organisations, athletics clubs and schools are all welcome to participate and there is no set distance. Most events have a 4km walk but some also host a run. With the emphasis on having fun and giving it a go, the Mother’s Day Classic is a great tradition to start with family and friends.

You can register for the Mother’s Day Classic online using the register button located on the home page.
Registrations will open in February 2020.
