The Rimi Vilnius Marathon is an annual city marathon, held in Vilnius, Lithuania. First introduced in 2001 as 10k race it evolved to a classic marathon in 2004. The half marathon was introduced in 2006.
The Rimi Vilnius Marathon is AIMS certified since 2007. It is one of the fastest growing marathons in the Baltics and the biggest running festival in Lithuania. Vilnius itself is a centre of attraction to the runners from all over the world- the old town of the city is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The city preserved an impressive complex of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and classical buildings as well as its medieval layout and natural setting.

Course highlights
Thousands of runners are invited to race on September 8th in Vilnius choosing from 6 different lengths for every experience. In addition, the marathon course is now one lap, so participants will not have to repeat the route. Starting together with half marathon runners, participants will form an incredibly colorful river of runners in the green streets of Vilnius – this is the view you won’t forget!
Trees in the Valakampiai and Vingis park and historical buildings in the city center will make the marathon run in the shade for more than 20k. It opens great possibilities for a fast and picturesque race.
