Registration
- Public entry and Disability Entry, are on ballot basis while Wheelchair Races, Youth Dash and Kickoff Family Run entry are on first-come, first-served basis.
- Registrations of Priority Entry will only be confirmed after relevant results are verified by the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association Limited (“The Organiser”).
- The Organiser reserves the right to close entry before the deadline without prior notice.
- Registration of Wheelchair Races, Youth Dash and Kickoff Family Run. Entry will be closed once the quota is full.
Entry Requirements
- Marathon participants must be 20 years old or above as of 2020 (Count by Year of Birth).
- Applicants MUST have successfully completed at least one race (10km or longer distance) in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon or any local / overseas races in the past 3 years. Applicants are also required to provide factually the Finishing Time of any races participated in the past 3 years
- Estimated Finishing Time shall be submitted upon registration, which will be taken into consideration when the Organiser allocates the race category and start time to participants.
- Half Marathon and 10km participants must be 16 years old or above as of 2020 (Count by Year of Birth).
- Applicants are required to honestly provide their estimated finishing time, which will be taken into consideration when the Organiser allocates the race category and start time to participants.
- Applicants of Half Marathon Challenge (Charity Entry) must have successfully completed at least one Half Marathon race between 1 January 2018 and 31 July 2019 and achieved a Personal Time within the time standard of 2:30:00 (for both Men & Women). The applicants shall enter the information factually during registration. The Organiser reserves the right to assign another Start Time to the applicants.
- Applicants must submit a valid Registration Card for People with Disabilities issued by HKSAR Government at the time of submitting their application. Both sides of the document must be presented for verification. An applicant failing to do so before the registration deadline will be considered as forfeiting the submission and the application will be withdrawn without further notice.
- Participants of this Entry must be able to participate without use of any external auxiliary equipment in the race, except for prosthetic limb(s), while participants who need to participate with wheelchairs must only register for the Wheelchair races.
- Wheelchair Race participants must be 16 years old or above as of 2020 (Count by Year of Birth)
- Upon registration, participants must submit a) a Registration Card for Person with Disabilities or b) a medical certificate issued by specialist or c) a proof issued by the government to prove their physical disabilities to the Organiser.
- The wheelchairs to be used for the race must meet the Requirements & Regulations set for this category listed below.
- No mechanical gears or levers shall be allowed to propel the chair;
- Only hand-operated, mechanical steering devices will be allowed;
- The participant must be able to turn the front wheel(s) manually to both the left and right;
- The use of mirrors is not permitted during the race;- The wearing of a race helmet is compulsory;
- Wheelchairs will be measured and inspected prior to the start of the race at the assembly area. After the inspection, wheelchair participants will be escorted to the starting area by the race officials. Wheelchairs may be re-examined by the officials before or after the event;
- Participants must ensure that no part of their lower limbs may fall to the ground or track during the race;
- It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure that their wheelchair conforms to the requirements stipulated above before the start time of the race. The events shall not be delayed while a participant makes adjustments to their wheelchair;
- Participants must take the safety of other participants on the route into consideration;
- The appointed Technical Officials will be responsible for the ruling of the safety of the wheelchair and the way the participants using it.
- Runners aged from 10-15 as of 2020 may apply for Youth Dash (Count by Year of Birth)
- 2-4 runners form a team.
- Each team must have at least one participant aged 18 or above as of 2020 (Count by Year of Birth).
- The Organiser has the right to verify and request for verification the age of participants before, during, and after the run.
Finisher Medal & Certificates
E-Certificate of Achievements, Progress Award, E-Certificate of Participation and Finisher Medal will be issued to runners who finish difference races within the designated time-limit. Details are as follows:
