The Istanbul Marathon, where tens of thousands of Istanbul come together every year and turn it into a feast. World Athletics certified Elite Label Road Race, the Istanbul Marathon starts on the Asian side of the city, crosses the Bridge over the Bosphurus Strait separating the two continents, and finishes on the European side in the ancient Roman Hippodrome, one of the oldest race courses in the world.   Course highlights 42K RACE COURSE The race starts approximately 250 meters before the toll booths in front of the 15 July Martyrs Bridge bus stop. After crossing the bridge, the track goes down to the coastal road by following the Beşiktaş turnoff and Barbaros Boulevard. Afterward, it enters the Galata Bridge by following the road to Dolmabahçe Street, İnönü Stadium, Dolmabahçe Palace, Mebusan Street, Fındıklı, Tophane, Kemeraltı Street, Salı Pazarı, Karaköy. On Sunday 17th November, three running competitions will start from the Bentegodi Stadium in Verona: the 23rd Verona Run Marathon 42K, an international race with a certified 42.195km course included in the calendars of World Athletics, the world federation, and Aims, the World Road Racing Association; the 10th Verona Run Marathon 21K (21,097km), which can be run both as competitive and non-competitive, and the Family Run .
